Considerations in opening up a bank account

Banks will want to understand the economic rationale for your proposed structure, and each bank will have a range of compliance requirements. Corporate Focus will assist at every stage of this process

Compliance Requirements

In order to open an account with them, banks will request a range of documentation. Corporate Focus will assisting in the preparation and presentation of these documents to the bank. Bank requirments vary, but typically will include the following

• Certificate of registration; 

• Memorandum and articles of the shareholders; 

• Passport, proof of address, and  other identity documents for the company shareholder;  

• Bank references containing all the company shareholders and directors; 

• Completed account opening forms; 

• Curriculum Vitae; 

• Source of Wealth and Source of Funds declarations; and 

• Any other documentation, which may be required by the chosen bank
